Olaf Scholz does not want to supply Kiev with long-range cruise missiles because then German soldiers would have to help on the ground. Experts disagree. The intercepted Luftwaffe conversation also speaks against this.

Olaf Scholz does not want to hand over the Taurus cruise missile to Ukraine. He tried to explain his reasons earlier this week, but it has now emerged that an eavesdropped telephone conversation between the head of the German Air Force, Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz, and Bundeswehr experts appears to invalidate his arguments. Experts from international think tanks also shake their heads.
