Damião (Xamã), who arrived at Renascer with the intention of killing José Inocêncio (Marcos Palmeira), will switch sides. After promising Chico (Mac Suara) that no one would ever go against the farmer again, the henchman will take the life of the person who ordered the crime. But what he cannot imagine is that Egídio (Vladimir Brichta) has hired the man as an intermediary and that the protagonist will continue to be in danger.
The death will occur in the episode of Globo's nine o'clock soap opera, which airs from next Monday (11). Damião will look for the farmer who hired him to kill João Pedro's father (Juan Paiva) and will tell him that he shot Inocêncio five times but did not die.
Damião will make fun of him by saying that he believes that the character of Marcos Palmeira really has a closed body. The bandit will blame him for refusing to shoot in front of the rich man. The henchman will feel insulted and order him to try to kill Inocêncio, who has made a pact with the devil.
Ritinha's lover (Mell Muzzillo) will say that he only went to see him in person to find out who ordered the crime and to tell him that José Inocêncio will not die under any circumstances. The mediator will realize that he has switched sides and will accuse him of treason.
Damião will then confirm that he has not only changed sides but also his life and that he will not leave without knowing the name of the one who wants to harm José Inocêncio. The farmer will lie and say that he was the one who hired the murderer's service.
The shaman will then kill him with a fatal dagger blow. “Tell the one who sent you that you came and found no one,” he will whisper the moment he slits the criminal’s jugular.
Renascer was written and created by author Benedito Ruy Barbosa. The first version was broadcast on Globo in 1993. Bruno Luperi is the writer's grandson and is responsible for the adaptation of the rural saga, which premiered in prime time in January. The remake will air until September.
