In a press conference in the Cabinet Hall, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the comprehensive nature of the meeting's final declaration, which addresses key areas to promote development and cooperation among the 33 member countries.

In this context, he emphasized the potential influence and commitment of each nation to common goals.

Gonsalves encouraged his compatriots to be proud of their role as hosts and ambassadors, showing the warmth and hospitality that characterizes St. Vincent and the Grenadines, while emphasizing his optimism about future collaborations and the results that will emerge from the declaration of the Celac.

Another moving moment during the session was the Honduran delegation's tribute to the national hero of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Joseph Chatoyer, who was praised by the President.

There will also be a ceremony at the Dorsetshire Hill Obelisk, which houses Chatoyer's memorial and resting place.

Following the historic event, Gonsalves urged all Vincentians to maintain the cleanliness, warmth and welcoming spirit of the nation as it prepares to host various activities, including the next Cricket World Cup next June.
