The two local councilors Steeve Verret and Stevens Mélançon, who were involved in a heated argument at the exit of the local council on February 6th, spoke directly to each other, Bruno Marchand revealed, without giving further details.
The saga of the alleged “upper-body shot” continues to rock Quebec's urban world.
On Tuesday morning, on the sidelines of a press conference on a completely different topic, the mayor of Quebec released this sentence, but refused to give further details afterwards.
“In the case of Mr Mélançon and Mr Verret there are discussions. We will let them do this work. We'll get back to you when we have more to say. [C’est des discussions] between them […] Let's do the work. Let them take the time to talk to each other,” he said.
Last week, Quebec's mayor said he had personally seen the videos captured by security cameras at City Hall of “the alleged altercation” between the two councilors. According to him, there were no “chest hits”.
These videos still haven't been released.
