Most states holding primaries today are appointing their delegates who will nominate their candidate this summer.
865 of 2,429 delegates must be elected on the Republican side this “Super Tuesday”, with the threshold to be reached being 1,215 votes.
Of the 1,969 required for the nomination, 1,420 delegates must also be allocated to the Democrats this Tuesday.
