Russia: A broadcaster in a border region with Ukraine that came under attack

In the Russian Kursk region on the border with Ukraine, a train station was attacked on Tuesday without any injuries being reported, said regional governor Roman Starovoit.

“Glutchkovo station was attacked from the Ukrainian side,” Mr. Starovoit wrote on Telegram, specifying that the attack “did not cause any injuries.”

The strikes caused a fire that was quickly contained and damaged high-voltage power lines, cutting off power to Gluchkovo station and the nearby village of Koulbaki, according to the same source.

For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that it had destroyed three Ukrainian drones overnight over the Belgorod region, which also borders Ukraine.

Since the Russian offensive in Ukraine began in February 2022, Russian territory has been regularly targeted by attacks and drone strikes attributed to Kiev.
