Friends who could win, who should win and who will win

There is only one day left until the Amici final and, as every year, the countless fans of Maria De Filippi’s talent show are asking themselves: “Who will be the winner?”. If last year the dancer Giulia Stabile (the only girl in the dance category to win an edition of Amici) triumphed, who will this year lift the coveted trophy of the Canale 5 program? It must be admitted that in this 2021/22 edition of Amici it is a little more complicated to make predictions than usual, in fact there are several talents who have reached the final and also the satisfaction of the audience (and the jury) seems quite to be distributed. Then who will be the winner? We can make some predictions by trying to think about who might get the most approval from the public and critics, who might be loved the most by fans, and who made the special journey within the school.

So who wins? Maybe Sissi should win if we look at the talent. In fact, this girl has undoubtedly the most beautiful female voice of this edition of Amici and an unparalleled mastery of the vocal registers from the lowest to the highest. Her interpretive skills are also excellent and to be honest, even her slightly funny and clumsy character makes her nice and endearing through the screen. But maybe Sissi lacks that certain extra personality to achieve victory, that creative flair, that madness that makes us believe that others could win.

Albe, although he made a nice change and stood out strongly in the evening phase of the program, you can’t imagine him with the trophy in hand and must have a separate talk for the dancers, yes, even improved (in in the case of Serena) and yes, very well (in the case of Michele), but not winners of the program.

At this point two people come full circle, two singers very different from each other but quite comparable from the point of view of talent and audience satisfaction: Luigi and Alex. On the one hand there is the multi-instrumentalist and “rock” face of the school, the Calabrian singer-songwriter, who cannot be on stage without his beloved guitar and without his characteristic groove. And then there’s Alex, the dark boy from Como who stole everyone’s hearts with his silence, his gaze and his incredible “folk” voice. The latter is undoubtedly part of a different genre of music than Luigi, less rhythmic, more pop, more melodic, more intense and at this point it’s all a matter of taste.

Both could win the trophy, maybe Luigi, maybe Alex, and in either case (preferences excluded) it would be deserved.
