Phoenix, his debut album released in Spring 2021, was particularly preferred to the recent creations of international stars of the stature of Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes.

“I’m completely in shock,” the 27-year-old artist repeated twice on stage at Budweiser Stage after jumping into the arms of his manager and friend Jason Brando upon hearing his name.

No one has won more Junos than them. Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd settled for two wins. Justin Bieber was acquitted.

Charlotte Cardin’s harvest is all the more impressive for having won awards in prestigious categories. On Saturday, she left her hands full during opening night after winning the Junos for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop Album of the Year.

With six mentions, she is the most-nominated artist, only escaping the Music Video of the Year and Fan’s Choice categories won by Shawn Mendes.
