On Monday night, the Warriors traveled to Denver to take on the Nuggets in the first of two games in four days.
Unfortunately for one Steph Curry fan, her favorite player didn’t make it to the team.
PJ O’Byrne, a 10-year-old Warriors fan, attended the Nuggets’ 131-124 loss Monday at Ball Arena, a game that Curry and most of the Golden State veterans were not in attendance.
On December 31, PJ turned 10 years old. The only thing she wanted? To go to a Warriors game and watch her favorite player, her father Rory told NBC Sports Bay Area’s Kerith Burke. Showing up with a homemade sign just for Curry on Monday night, young PJ was heartbroken that Steph wasn’t there to put on the show.
Fast forward to Thursday night Warriors hooked PJ and her family with tickets to Golden State’s second game against Denver this week. This time Stef played and made sure to stop by before the game and say hello.
Happy Tears 🥺

Most importantly, there were happy tears this time after the Warriors superstar signed autographs and posed for photos with a young fan.

No wonder Steph and the Warriors did everything they could to make amends.
After meeting with Steph, the Nuggets intervened and added experience.
Remember that girl who was upset because Steph missed the last game against us? Well, @warriors went above and beyond and got the whole family AMAZING tickets! So, you know we had to do our part and put MVP💙 t-shirts on them.

Nikola Jokic’s jersey is great and all, but meeting Stef is priceless.
Definitely a memory that PJ and her family will remember for a long time.
