President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO)meets with an organizing committee of summit of the americas, sent by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, to insist on the involvement of the dictatorships Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
This was explained in his press conference, where he additionally assured the said meeting was deliberately asked to repeat this position. He added that he will also attend Ken SalazarUS Ambassador to Mexico, and will be held at the National Palace for Wednesday, May 18.
In the same way, he explained, it will be carried out in turn by the Mexican Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrardwith which to make calls anthony blink, State Secretary of the neighboring country this Monday, April 16.
“We will uncover why we believe we should all come together and that this is a stellar moment.”

Despite the fact that leaders of other Latin American nations have also expressed dissatisfaction with the exclusion, Brian A Nicholas, Undersecretary of State, reiterated in the position of that countries that “do not respect democracy” should refrain from participating.
However, Andrés Manuel said he was certain – and even grateful – that the US had not yet formally rejected any of the American nations. In this tenor confirms that Mexico has not received a formal invitation to the Summit with the next venue in Los Angeles.
“They have not spoken out to deny the possibility that we all participate (…) There are still no invitations and I think that’s part of it a responsible attitude not to reject the proposal that many of us in Latin America are making,” he stressed this morning, reaffirming his confidence in his American counterpart, Joe Biden.
“I have confidence in President Biden because he is a man who seeks reconciliation; seek dialogue.

With that, too, López Obrador called for respect and avoid sanctions in case the US excludes the dictatorships of Miguel Díaz-Canel (Cuba), Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua) and Nicolás Maduro (Venezuela).
However, confirmed in his absence – but not in Mexico – in the event that the neighboring nation officially decides not to invite those nations to the only summit bringing together the leaders of northern, southern, central and Caribbean countries.
“Whatever happens, Mexico will be there anyway. The Foreign Minister, our Foreign Minister, Marcelo Ebrard, will be there. but I wouldn’t go because I think we need the Union of America.”
It should be recalled that last week, in his May 11 conference, Mexico’s Chief Executive criticized the Joe Biden administration’s position of labeling itself as such “chief judge” to decide who would and would not attend next June’s meeting.
“No one has the right to speak for all of America (…) We are not governed by mandates from hegemons, from foreign countries,” he explained.
Nevertheless, he ruled out that his position implied a possible distancing from the neighboring country, as well as the fact that it was considering one boycott the fact that other Latin American nations have joined the call for full inclusion of the continent, as they have Albert Fernandez, from Argentina; Xiomara Castrofrom Honduras, or Louis Arce from Bolivia.
