Amici 2022, the winner is Luigi Strangis (with 76.4% of televoting)

The predictions of the previous evening were respected. That 21-year-old Luigi Strangis defeated the five fellow singers and dancers reached the final. The singer-songwriter won the 21st edition of “Friends of Maria De Filippi” with the 76.4% to the final televoting and won the first prize of 150,000 euros. In second place is the Michele dancer (23.6% on televoting against Luigi), the prize in the dance category went to the amount of 50,000 euros. Michele will also have the opportunity to attend the grand finale of the dance event OnDance organized by Robert Bolle, performed at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan on September 5. On the third place the other dancer Serena (who received a scholarship to a prestigious New York dance school) in fourth place Alexfifth Sissy and sixth is None.

Luigi hit the ground running at school and introduced himself as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist because, in addition to the guitar, he also plays the piano, drums, percussion and double bass. The winner of “Amici di Maria De Filippi” started playing the guitar at the age of 6, at the age of 15 he started producing his own pieces. Luigi was already performing live in his hometown of Lamezia Terme (Catanzaro) and in neighboring villages he worked with a recording studio where he arranged songs for other artists. In September 2021 he presented himself at the castings of “Amici” the unreleased “Vivo”, produced by Brail, who opened the doors of the most famous school in Italy to him. Luigi then released Muro and Partirò Da Zero both produced by Michele Canova, Tondo produced by Katoo and Tienimi tonotte produced by Luigi and Gabriele Cannarozzo.

Luigi’s first appearance after the “Amici” victory is the promotion of his first EP entitled “Strangis”, which will be released on June 3rd and will of course include the plays presented in the evening and in the school. “This EP reflects my personality free from all genres and labels. It is the freedom to change, the freedom to be seen without hiding, the freedom to be known and accepted. ‘Strangis’ – said Luigi – it is the result of my hard work and many others who believed in me as an artist and as a person. I hope this is just the beginning. It was a great honor for me to know that some of the big record labels had suggested releasing my first EP on their label, but when Mamo GiovencoMusic manager of ‘Amici’, told me the opportunity to stay and work with the facility and the people who have followed me since I joined Amici and make me feel so at home, I thought staying with them would be the best choice for me. I am sure they will continue to understand me as they have from day one and urge me to work with my head down to build a future in the music world. I know 21co may not have the same strength as the big majorsHe’s used to working with young people coming out of talent shows like Friends and not only over the years, but I hope and believe that for that very reason he’s better able to focus on me and my journey to overcome than unfortunately I have seen a lot the stumbling block of mere market laws che always wants to be successful on record after record, otherwise you will be pushed aside immediately, and on the other hand I will do my best to make my dreams come true.
