Queen Letizia cut a stylish figure as she ushered in Qatar’s first royal state visit to Spain since 2011 alongside husband King Felipe VI.
The royal couple held a spectacular reception ceremony to honor the arrival of Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his wife Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani in Madrid.
Mum-of-two Letizia, 49, wore a floral-embellished white dress by Carolina Herrera with slingback shoes by Spanish brand Magrit, while Felipe, 54, appeared equally polished in a black suit at the start of the two-day visit.
The visit of the Qatari royal family comes more than ten years ago, since Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and his wife Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser, who are the current ruler’s parents, officially visited Spain after being invited by Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía had been.
