Kathy Hilton Receives Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Academy Of Art University San Francisco: “Education is the foundation of everything we do in this life”

Kathy Hilton received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the San Francisco-based Academy of Art University on Wednesday.
Hilton received the award from University President Dr. Elisa Stephens during the Spring 2022 Graduate Commencement Ceremony, recognizing her achievements as an artistic entrepreneur.
“I am very honored to receive this honorary doctorate from the prestigious Academy of Art University,” said the RHOBH star. “Education is the foundation of everything we do in this life and nowhere is that more evident than in this remarkable institution.”

Paris and Nicky Hilton’s mother added: “The amount of talent I have seen in these students makes me excited for our future.
“In a digital age of endless content, being a student and perfecting your art is a gift. With social media allowing these students to instantly showcase their art and design, this new generation has prioritized their creativity in any art form.”
During the speech, Kathy provided the students with her “Gems from the Job,” a list of life lessons that emphasized the value of preparation and perseverance, living purposefully, and striving for perfection while taking time to be a prankster .

“Kathy embodies the spirit of artists who are able to transform their art form into a successful career. She is an inspiration to young women around the world who want to hear and honor their voice as artists.
“Today she delivered a wonderful commencement speech, filled with pearls of wisdom that I know will be invaluable to our remarkable graduating class as they take their first steps into the workforce.”

The reality TV star then said: “Nowhere are they taught the tools to excel and hone their craft like the Academy of Art University. Many thanks to dr. Elisa Stephens for this much appreciated academic recognition.’
She was driven to the event in a one-of-a-kind gold 1963 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, a car originally made for Sammy Davis Jr. and now part of the Academy of Art University’s Classic Car Museum, which preserves a rare collection of classic cars for Use in his automotive design and restoration program.
The opening ceremony, held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Wednesday, celebrated the best and brightest young talent from a variety of creative disciplines including; Architecture, fashion, fine arts, interior design, animation, game design and more.
Hilton later delivered an opening address to over a thousand Academy of Art University graduates, who were visiting family members and Academy of Art faculty.
