The Aquaman actress took the stand this week in the defamation lawsuit brought against her by her ex-husband Johnny Depp. Jack Sparrow’s interpreter filed a complaint for a 2018 editorial in which she described herself as a “public figure who represents domestic violence.”
On Monday, as the trial resumed after a week-long hiatus, the former NSYNC singer posted a video on TikTok in which he acted out one of Amber Heard’s statements describing domestic violence. “I lose my balance, at this point we’re sitting next to each other on the edge of the sofa, or I was on the edge of the sofa,” the actress is heard saying from the off. I just sat there on that carpet looking at the dirty carpet and wondering how I got on that carpet and why I had never noticed that the carpet was so dirty before. I just didn’t know what else to do, I didn’t know what to say, I didn’t know how to react.”
With that said, Lance Bass is seen stumbling, sitting on a couch and lying on a rug while someone off-camera throws leaves at him.
The 43-year-old singer commented below the video, “In honor of starting the trial again…I couldn’t help it.”
Lance Bass received plenty of praise in comments on TikTok, but caused an uproar on Twitter when one user called the clip “disgusting and disturbing.”
If I were Lance Bass, a Z-list celebrity so irrelevant that my acting credits have been mostly “as himself” for the last 2 decades, and my husband had to run my fan account, maybe that’s what I would focus on , being a 43-year-old father instead of joking on Tik Tok about women describing assault. https://t.co/vjOVScjTUi

“Sh*t* Lance Bass and sh*t* to anyone who finds it funny lip syncing a victim’s description of abuse,” one wrote, while another commented, “If there’s one thing Lance Bass loves to do, it’s is it exploiting a scandal to gain views and get noticed. Even if it’s just to make fun of victims of domestic violence.”
This process deals with domestic violence, emotional abuse and sexual assault. And that’s what Lance Bass chose to do. These people are genuinely determined to keep victims from ever coming forward again. https://t.co/tTlKckOtud
