A new Daredevil series is reportedly in the works at Disney+.

According to Variety, Matt Corman and Chris Ord – best known for co-creating the show Covert Affairs – will write and execute the project.

Netflix’s Daredevil series was canceled in 2018 after three seasons, and it was recently announced that the show would be moved to Disney Plus along with other Marvel series.

Marvel hasn’t announced anything about the new series yet.

Fans have speculated about the show as Charlie Cox, 39, and Vincent D’Onofrio, 62 – from the Netflix series Daredevil – have appeared in recent Marvel projects.

Cox donned the crimson suit again while playing Matt Murdock, Daredevil’s secret identity, in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Meanwhile, D’Onofrio reprized his role as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, one of the main villains of Daredevil in the comics, in the Disney Plus series Hawkeye.

However, in 2018, Variety reported that the deal with Netflix included a clause that “prevented characters from the Marvel Netflix shows from appearing in non-Netflix projects for two years after their cancellation.”

As early as mid-March, all Netflix Marvel live-action series – including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD – moved to Disney Plus.

Marvel’s Daredevil follows Matt Murdock, a blind New York attorney who turns into a vigilante at night and uses his heightened senses to fight crime and protect his neighborhood, Hell’s Kitchen.
