Depp waves to fans as he enters courtroom: ‘I made them breakfast’

Actor Johnny Depp said he prepared a “breakfast” for his fans when he arrived at a courthouse in Virginia, US, during the trial involving the artist’s exwife, Amber Heard. The statement was made on March 17 and was published by the British newspaper Independent.

“I just made breakfast for all of them,” he said outside the courthouse. It’s day 19 of the moral damages trial between Depp and his exwife Amber Heard, the publication reported.

“Waffles,” the actor replied when asked what was being prepared for breakfast. The artist waved to fans watching the process at the venue.

The crowd also booed Amber Heard’s team. After the actress testified at the trial, more witnesses will need to be heard until the case is closed.

Camille Vasquez, the lawyer for Johnny Depp, has garnered a legion of fans on social media in recent days after she sharply and sometimes aggressively questioned Amber Heard in the defamation lawsuit the actor is bringing against his exwife.

According to website The Tab, Camille Vasquez graduated from law school in 2010, and this is her first case involving celebrities.

The excouple, who met while filming The Diary of a Drunken Journalist in 2012, had a fate far removed from the happy ending of a romance film. The marriage was signed in 2015 and lasted 15 months.

Since then, six years ago, the private life of the two has become public and has gained prominence: they appear in the press around the world and exchange allegations, while their successes in the cinema are only supporting actors.

In May 2016, Amber Heard filed for divorce, accusing Johnny Depp of domestic violence. At the end of 2018, she published an article in the American newspaper The Washington Post. Depp wasn’t even mentioned, but the accounts narrated by the actress have been linked to him. This is the ongoing process and the actor is asking for $50 million, approximately R$250 million.
