Sharon Osbourne has thanked rapper Jamal Rajad for helping save the life of her daughter Aimee after a Hollywood studio fire that killed one and injured two others.
The former X Factor judge, 69, took to her Instagram Stories on Friday to share her gratitude for the role the rapper played in saving her 38-year-old daughter’s life by responding to a comment from Rajad’s wife Pretty Face Ray’Ray replied, who is also a rapper.
Sharon wrote: “Her husband alerting her literally saved her life. THANK YOU @pretty.face.rayray.’

In the original comment, Ray’Ray had written, “ASKED MY HUSBAND TO CATCH HER (Aimee) SO SHE CAN JUMP FROM THE SECOND FLOOR AFTER HE WRITING TO LET EVERYONE IN THE BUILDING KNOW.” GLAD SHE DON’T HAVE TO [JUMP] AND SHE WAS OK.’
Ray’Ray added, “I’m still here hoping to salvage our studio gear.”
The fire was reported around 6:35 p.m. local time Thursday night and quickly spread throughout the two-story Hollywood building.

Aimee returned to the site on Friday with fire investigators on the scene and was seen hugging record producer Jamal Rajad Davis, who is credited with raising the alarm about the fire.
“I was my own smoke detector,” Jamal told the Los Angeles Times. “I ran to my room and grabbed my stuff and left my door open to call my cats to follow me.”
Jamal said he tried to go back inside to save his four cats, but the smoke was too thick and all the animals died.

The structure housed several recording and rehearsal studios.
A hip-hop artist named Maximilian told KABC-TV that he lost everything.
“When I opened the door, I saw smoke coming from the other side of the hallway. I immediately reached over to grab a pitcher of water. I threw it against the door, flames burst (sic). I tried to go back to my room and grab everything I could but there were flames everywhere and we ran out of the building and that was it.”
The artist estimates his loss at around $50,000.

It was Sharon who first revealed her eldest daughter’s narrow escape and the resulting injury in an emotional social media post on Friday morning.
The reality star shared the shocking news on Instagram, captioning a Los Angeles Times story about the fatal incident.
The Raining Gold crooner appeared to be doing well when she was seen arriving at her parents’ home on Friday. She wore a demure outfit of camouflage jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt with a khaki green military-style jacket.

The Osbournes star wrote on social media that both were lucky to be alive.
“It is absolutely heartbreaking that someone lost their life in this fire today and we send our prayers to that person and their family. What happened today was beyond appalling,” the star said.
Dancing with the Stars host Carrie Ann Inaba responded to the post, writing, “I’m glad Aimee and her producer are safe…but my heart aches for the person who lost her life and family and loved ones Has. “How scary it must have been for all of them…”

Describing the building as “Hollywood’s creative hub for music,” Sharon also lamented the loss of equipment belonging to the various artists who worked there.
She also called for better fire safety in such buildings, although it is not yet known if any regulations have been breached.

The actress is the lesser-known member of the Osbourne family, having declined to be a part of the reality show that made Sharon, Ozzy, 73, Kelly, 37, and Jack, 36, household names during its run from 2002 to 2005 made.
