Dannii Minogue CONFIRMS she will NOT be returning to The Masked Singer Australia – after landing a new hosting gig on the BBC Gay Dating Show
Dannii Minogue will not be back for the next season of The Masked Singer Australia.
The pop princess confirmed recent speculation that she was exiting the reality singing competition on Saturday.
“My fashion commitments in the UK are at odds with planning to film The Masked Singer this year so sadly I won’t be returning,” the 50-year-old told The Herald Sun.

“I am sure that with the opening of the borders there will be many great surprises for everyone. I have enjoyed every minute of my work on TMS and will miss my role as Inspector Minogue.”
The Masked Singer Australia is facing a change in 2022.
Dannii is the second judge to announce her departure after comedian Urzila Carlson confirmed on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday that she won’t be returning this year because she will be too busy with her comedy tour.

It comes after Dannii announced she was “excited” to present a brand new gay dating show I Kissed A Boy on BBC Three later this year, which she could return to the UK after recently staying in Melbourne, Australia , was filmed.
The former X Factor judge has landed her “dream job” and will play Cupid, who helps ten singletons find love while the contestants fly to Europe in search of Mr. Right.
In the eight-part series, contestants are paired with their strongest match and kiss when they meet, but “everyone is a possible love interest,” so things can change pretty quickly.
Dannii said: “There are millions of people in the UK who are looking for love.
“I am sure that with the opening of the borders there will be many great surprises for everyone. I have enjoyed every minute of my work on TMS and will miss my role as Inspector Minogue,” she added
“And I believe love is for everyone. That’s why I’m so excited that a gay dating show is diving into the sea of other dating shows that have been on TV for years.’
The singer continued, “For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a staunch ally of the LGBTQ+ community. My close friends know that my dream job title would be Cupid.
“It also gives me that flutter of love inside just to be a part of it. Let’s hope there’s love sealed with a kiss!’

The “This Is It” hitmaker also tweeted to share a casting call, writing, “Having the opportunity to be a part of this show gives me this fluttering love feeling.
“I’m so thrilled that a gay dating show is going to be part of the love-seeking mix on TV. Let’s hope to see some beautiful love stories on our screens, sealed with a kiss! Happy assistant to Cupid.’
BBC Three bosses believe the program has “huge potential” but are yet to announce a launch date.
Dannii previously worked on the UK version of The X Factor and Australia’s Got Talent before scoring her performance on The Masked Singer.
