Fatima Bernardes wont be on The Voice for long understand

Fátima explains her departure from the meeting and denies recording The Voice: “I know nothing”

Journalist Fátima Bernardes, 59, heads Encontro (TV Globo) with 40 days to go before the end of the tenyear cycle, to face the challenge of taking the place of presenter Tiago Leifert, 42, responsible for ” The Voice” is responsible “. The decision to leave the daily program named after him is based on the desire for more free time for life and family.

In an interview with O Globo, Fátima says she’s not yet thinking about saying goodbye to the attraction because she understands there’s still a long way to go before the June 30 goodbye.

We plan a lot for every day in June. So because of the practical part, I was on automatic and didn’t think about the goodbye itself. But last week I recorded what the opening of the special anniversary program will be on the 24th [o programa completa dez anos no dia 25, mas cai num sábado]. Wow, I was amazed! It was like saying goodbye to the “Jornal Nacional”: a good feeling to close a cycle and start a new one.

From July 1st, the journalist Patrícia Poeta, 45, will take over the position of presenter of “Encontro”. Currently, Fátima stated that she has said little about handing over to Patrícia, but believes in the success of the replacement, having seen her before the program in her absence.

“Only by message. I’m fully involved in the latest programs, she also works a lot on “É de casa”… But everything is very calm. I had shoulder surgery (in October 2021), she stayed there for six weeks. Previously also in my cancer operation (endometrial, in December 2020). Patricia has long stints at “Encontro”, she knows the team, both she and Manoel. But of course we will get closer (to exchange) Start talking more about it, chatting because the ticket is already more than done,” he commented.

Fátima opened the game to explain that the decision to leave the “encontro” is to have more free time to enjoy life. He reported that after beating cancer, facing the pandemic and seeing his children go abroad to study, he understood he needed to turn the key.

“It’s not that I was dissatisfied. A person who has a show that bears their own name is of tremendous value! But my whole life has been daily work, I completed 35 years at TV Globo in February 2020. The pandemic has made me think about a little more flexibility. The “meeting” was only up for a month. I have a house in a beach area, but I couldn’t work from home like many of us. The fact that I had cancer showed me that we are transforming our lives must,” he reasoned.

Another thing was that my son went abroad to study. He has been living in France for almost two years [Vinicius estuda Engenharia da Computação em Paris] and I only have to see it once. Now Laura [outra filha, formada em Psicologia] also looking for a study abroad. My friend [o deputado federal Túlio Gadêlha] lives in two other cities [Recife e Brasília]. I realized that I need to have a more balanced list of what I owe and what I want to do. Any trip I take has to be on Friday afternoon after the live show and I have to be back on Sunday already preparing for Monday. My life has very little free time.

The proposal to host The Voice came from TV Globo after the journalist expressed her desire to leave Encontro. For Fátima, the musical attraction becomes a challenge as it already has a “ready format”.

This proposal was made to me very sincerely. I didn’t want “The Voice”. I just wanted a new transition to entertainment. When the idea came up, I thought it was really cool because I’ve always fought hard to have music in my program every day. It’s not easy to count on singer and band early in the morning, they are used to working at night and at dawn. But today they love space and recognize its importance. Also, I’m going to try to make a program with a finished format now, because “Encontro” was made by me with a lot of people. I have no idea how it will be.

The journalist took the opportunity to deny rumors that a pilot of “The Voice” would not have liked the direction of the Carioca station. “Nothing! They said I recorded it, right? I haven’t even spoken to Boninho! I don’t even know who the coaches are for next season, I know absolutely nothing about Voice,” he concluded.
