From July 1st, the journalist Patrícia Poeta, 45, will take over the position of presenter of “Encontro”. Currently, Fátima stated that she has said little about handing over to Patrícia, but believes in the success of the replacement, having seen her before the program in her absence.

I had shoulder surgery (in October 2021), she stayed there for six weeks. Previously also in my cancer operation (endometrial, in December 2020). Fátima opened the game to explain that the decision to leave the “encontro” is to have more free time to enjoy life. He reported that after beating cancer, facing the pandemic and seeing his children go abroad to study, he understood he needed to turn the key.
“It’s not that I was dissatisfied. A person who has a show that bears their own name is of tremendous value! But my whole life has been daily work, I completed 35 years at TV Globo in February 2020. The pandemic has made me think about a little more flexibility. The “meeting” was only up for a month. I have a house in a beach area, but I couldn’t work from home like many of us. The fact that I had cancer showed me that we are transforming our lives must,” he reasoned.
Another thing was that my son went abroad to study. He has been living in France for almost two years [Vinicius estuda Engenharia da Computação em Paris] and I only have to see it once. The proposal to host The Voice came from TV Globo after the journalist expressed her desire to leave Encontro. For Fátima, the musical attraction becomes a challenge as it already has a “ready format”.
This proposal was made to me very sincerely. I didn’t want “The Voice”. I just wanted a new transition to entertainment. When the idea came up, I thought it was really cool because I’ve always fought hard to have music in my program every day. It’s not easy to count on singer and band early in the morning, they are used to working at night and at dawn. But today they love space and recognize its importance. Also, I’m going to try to make a program with a finished format now, because “Encontro” was made by me with a lot of people. I have no idea how it will be.
