JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With online and mobile banking still offline, VyStar Credit Union is opening some of its branches on Sunday to help customers.
VyStar members have been struggling to get information about their accounts for more than a week after a planned outage was unexpectedly extended.
TIED TOGETHER: Complaints and concerns are still surfacing as problems with VyStar’s online banking continue
A VyStar executive told News4JAX on Friday that there is no timeline for the issue to be fixed, but they are working around the clock to resolve the issues.
Normally, VyStar stores are closed on Sundays, but the credit union is opening 19 of its stores, it said in an email to customers on Saturday.

The credit union says everyone’s money and transactions are safe, but customers complain about inconveniences and sometimes conflicting information.
Many have shared their concerns with News4JAX, and one suggested customers file complaints with the Office of Financial Regulation and the National Credit Union Administration.

“We will continue to monitor and extend the fee waiver period as appropriate,” CEO Brian Wolfburg and VyStar’s senior leadership team said in the email. “Please note that your accounts, funds and transactions have remained safe and secure throughout the transition and should now accurately reflect what is on our core systems. In addition, direct deposits and other transactions have been processed successfully on members’ accounts. We are working flat out to give you online access as soon as possible. We know this is not the experience you expect from us. We strive to make things right and ensure future experiences are what we and our members expect from VyStar.”
