As in several Quebec regions, Hydro-Quebec teams worked hard Sunday in Mauricie to reconnect the thousands of customers who were plunged into obscurity after the previous day’s fierce winds. However, some of them may have to be patient.

As of mid-afternoon, just over 11,000 homes in the area were still without power, and some of them may have to wait until Monday or Tuesday before being reconnected.
Several pylons and power lines were damaged, particularly in the Saint-Louis-de-France sector. Trees about a hundred feet high fell.
This situation has an impact on companies and organizations in the region.
The Du Moulin Golf Club has announced that it will have to remain closed to the public for a few days to clear the fallen trees.
On the part of Domaine Scout Saint-Louis-de-France, we have had to postpone the reception of several school classes, which was due to come this week.
“We are optimistic that we will be able to carry out school trips, i.e. nature courses, safely from the end of next week. We will set teams in motion to secure precisely the activity trays and offer young people the benefits of nature,” Director General of Domaine Scout Saint-Louis-de-France, Sébastien Johnson, told TVA Nouvelles.
A bee to fell and fell trees damaged by the storm will be held over the weekend of June 4th and 5th.
