The film tells the story of Matthias (Marin Grigore): A few days before Christmas, the man returns to his multi-ethnic home village in Transylvania after giving up his job in Germany. He wants to get more involved in raising his son Rudi (Mark Blenyesi), who has been left in the care of his mother Ana (Macrina Barladeanu) for too long, and help him free himself from the unresolved and irrational fears that plague him. Matthias also takes care of his elderly father Otto (Andrei Finti) and looks forward to seeing his ex-lover Csilla (Judith State). When some new workers are hired at the small factory that Csilla runs, the peace of the small community is threatened. Fears and fears also affect adults. Frustrations, conflicts and passions will shatter a calm that will only be apparent.
