The Kid Laroi brought safety with him as he visited his old haunt of Redfern on Sunday.

The Australian rap sensation, 18, who grew up near Sydney’s inner-city suburbs, was flanked by five burly security guards as he visited a mural of his likeness by street artist Scott Marsh.

Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Howard, looked delighted as he approached the plant and then posed for several photos in front of it.

He later invited his model friend Katarina Deme to take a photo in front of the colorful mural that overlooks the streets where he grew up.

Despite his personal safety, Laroi had no problem getting up close and personal with fans who stopped by to take photos.

The hip-hop star, who kicks off the Australian leg of his ‘End of the World’ tour on Thursday, was seen chatting to a local and offering them free tickets to his concert.
