Let’s move on to the Philadelphia Eagles links…
Report: Colts may be interested in trade for Eagles QB Gardner Minshaw – PhillyVoice
Allegedly, the Indianapolis Colts can’t get enough of Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS, the trade for Gardner Minshew could be something of a plan B for the Colts if they don’t find a way to add a more decorated starting quarterback first. […] I don’t know if anyone is trading Minshew as a starter in 2022 because they absolutely need him, but he could be an option for a team that loses a quarterback to an injury in the offseason, or like at La Canfora. the example above with the Colts if they miss out on other options first.

Eye on the Enemy #87: Mark Bullock Wentz Trade Talk + Wilson Trade, Ridley Suspension, Fletcher Cox Trade Rumors – BGN Radio
In the latest episode of Eye on the Enemy, Jon Stolnis talks to Commanders writer and analyst Mark Bullock, formerly of The Athletic and now self-narrating Wentz’s deal. John also analyzes Russell Wilson’s trade, the signing of Aaron Rodgers, the rumors surrounding DeSean Watson, the Eagles’ interest in Calvin Ridley before the suspension, Fletcher Cox’s trade rumors, and the latest on the Dallas Cowboys.
Preparation – Iggles Blitz
There were rumors about Juju Smith-Shuster as the target. He has had his ups and downs as a player, but at only 25 years old, he is perfect for the role. With him out there and fast guys like DeVonta Smith and Kes Watkins on the outside, Hurts would have good options all over the field. Could you replace JJAW with JJSS? Some have suggested Keelan Cole as an Eagles target. It will not cost much and will fit into a group of receivers. Cole can make dynamic shots. He will block and he has some return experience. Cole isn’t special, but ticks a lot. Dave Caldwell drafted him to JAX and Caldwell is now in the Eagles front office. If the Eagles are willing to spend the money, Christian Kirk could be their target. He played in the slot and outside. Kirk is young, talented and productive. He will be worth over $10 million for the season, with some speculating that he could fetch $15 million. How much does it cost? How aggressive do the Eagles want to be?
From Roob’s Observations: Ex-Eagle Rozman Needed to Be Returned – NBCSP
2. Kes Watkins’ 647 yards is even more impressive when you consider he’s hit three or fewer targets in 10 of 17 games. Of 91 wide receivers with at least 50 goals last year, Watkins finished 5th with 10.4 yards per goal. Second only to Deebo Samuel, Kendrick Bourne, Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Lockett. Not a bad company.
Panthers favorite to bet on Deshawn Watson – PFT
As the betting market for Texans quarterback Deshawn Watson picks up pace, so does the betting market. The guys at PointsBet have compiled the odds for the next team that Watson will bet on. Panthers are the favorite at +175. However, until it is known that Watson has changed his mind about the Panthers (he refused to waive the no-trade clause for the Carolinas a year ago), this is a risky bet. The Buccaneers are next at +400, followed by the Seahawks at +450 and the Texans at +500. Browns +700, Eagles +800, Dolphins +800, Saints +1000, Steelers +1000.
BREAKING: Dallas Cowboys trade Amari Cooper WR to Cleveland Browns for round 5 and 6 picks
Dallas sends Cooper and their sixth pick to the Browns in exchange for a fifth and sixth round pick from Cleveland, so we really only have one choice. Obviously not much, but it’s more than nothing. Dallas’ biggest win here is that Cleveland takes over Cooper’s entire contract, which the Cowboys were desperate to get out of their accounts despite agreeing to it just two years ago. It was a long way to get here, but nevertheless we arrived. Everyone is saying that the Cowboys offense has experienced a renaissance with Cooper, and now they are officially moving on without him. C.D. Lamb will be tasked with being the best receiver on the team and Michael Gallup (assuming he returns) will also contribute. [BLG Note: The majority of BTB’s audience graded the Cooper trade as a ‘D’ or ‘F’.]
Giants free agency preview: ‘very calculated’ offseason begins – World Today News
So what’s the plan? Sean said the plan had to be “very calculated.” He admitted at the Combine that the biggest challenge is how to fix the team’s cap situation while still keeping the team competitive in 2022 is the “big question”. Expect low cost moves with high net worth players such as signing with Gono. Target short-term, second-tier free agents to meet needs, perhaps like recently released former Buffalo Bills guard John Feliciano. Nothing flashy. Nothing overpriced. Nothing long term. We’ve seen a lot of this before. Let’s hope that Schoen & Co. handle this better than their predecessors. “We want to be competitive today and also build tomorrow,” Sean said. “I think if we can do it right, I think there is a real possibility that we can do it.
Mark Tyler’s Hogs Haven layout in off-season 3.0 – we’ve got our QB! – Pig Harbor
Hopefully Wentz can be our quarterback in the future, and I’m willing to give him a chance to shine rather than picking a rookie to sit back and learn from him in what many consider to be a weak class. If it works; great. If he doesn’t, we may turn to the 2023 draft to get a signal caller. Given that we currently don’t have a lot of room under the ceiling (although we can easily do more), I decided to fill in some of the gaps in free agency with players who won’t break the bank. Paring Ertz does two things with his former quarterback. First, it gives Carson a familiar face that also needs to be confident in the dressing room. And secondly, it gives us a good vertical threat in position, AND insurance in case Logan Thomas doesn’t make a 100% recovery from a knee injury he suffered at the end of last season.
