‘Stop judging a woman by dresses and cleavage’: Samantha Ruth Prabhu wrote a powerful remark after her red carpet appearance.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu wrote a note on Saturday about how women are easily judged by the clothes they wear, the race they belong to, or even their skin color. She asked people to focus on “improving” themselves rather than making remarks about women based on their hemlines and cutouts.

“As a woman, I know firsthand what it means to be judged. We judge women by what they wear, their race, education, social class, appearance, skin tone, and the list goes on and on. Making quick judgments about a person just based on the clothes they wear is literally the easiest thing to do.

“Now that we live in 2022, can we finally stop judging a woman by the dresses and necklines she wears and instead focus on getting better? Turning that judgment inward and teaching it its own self is evolution. Projecting our ideals onto someone else did no good to anyone. Let’s carefully rewrite how we measure and understand a person.” Samantharead the note.

Samantha’s post comes days after she made a stunning appearance at an awards ceremony in Mumbai wearing a bottle green gown.

Samantha isn’t the only one who’s been judged for her costumes. Deepika Padukone had to deal with something similar while promoting Gehraiyaan. Earlier this year, influencer Freddie Birdie played a prank on the actor’s attire during promotions for Gehraiyaan. Freddie shared an Instagram post that read, “Newton’s law in Bollywood. Clothing will become smaller as the Gehraiyyan release date approaches.” Part of the signature read: “Cutouts and hem – Gehraiyaan.” In a cryptic tweet that many saw as a response, Deepika wrote: “Scientists say the universe is made up of protons, neutrons and electrons. They forgot to mention morons.”
