I have my children who I cannot leave at the moment. For me it’s a stab in the heart, I’ve thought about it a lot. I’m happy about the program that is going on, I can’t stay, as a mother I have to go back to my children.

You have no duties.” According to recent rumours, Mr Tavassi could be referring to ex-husband Umberto D’Aponte being released from prison. The castaway, unnerved by her father’s words, repeated:
There are important things I can’t stay here. It was my dream to be here, to win and to be with Edoardo. I have to go home to my children, I have to sort things out, I have appointments.

Just today it was announced that Guendalina Tavassi’s ex-husband, Umberto D’Aponte, has been released from prison following the abuse reported by the shipwrecked island woman. More episodes followed last November’s attack, including her children Chloe and Salvatore forcing Gwendolyn to report it. It was the sister of Neapolitan Mery D’Aponte who revealed that her brother has returned home. Could the news have affected Tavassi’s trip to the island?
