Another week, another superhero movie at the top of the charts. It’s Batman again, and once again everything is pretty much in the same place as last weekend’s box office charts, except for a couple of new additions, both of which were small releases, but one of them made a splash. money nonetheless.
As for emo Batman, he added another $66 million to his earnings from last week, bringing his total to $238 million (a good third or so of what Spider-Man: No Way Home made). Everyone apparently keeps paying extra for those tickets, so when going to the movies alone costs you $100 a few years from now, just remember who you can blame (no, not the people who paid more to see Batman “, but greedy theater). network owners). Waaaayyyy, in second place (again) is Uncharted, which made just over $9 million and is now worth around $113 million. Not bad considering the pandemic, but not Batman’s numbers.
One of these rookies sits in third place, and his permission for BTS to dance on stage is Seoul: Live Viewing, which we assume is a concert movie featuring BTS in Seoul. In total, on 803 screens, he earned $ 6.8 million, and these are bananas. In terms of average per screen, it’s far ahead of anything but Batman.
After that comes Dog, Spider-Man and Death on the Nile, just like last week, for $5 million, $4 million and $2.5 million (respectively). Spider-Man could make $800 million domestically, but that would take a few weeks, and given the film will be available on home video relatively soon, it could take even longer. Only another newcomer to the top 10, Indian romantic drama Radhe Shyam, opened right after them with $1.8 million (but it also only ran on 800 screens, so it’s not a terrible average).
Then we have Sing 2, Jackass Forever and Scream where the first two made just over a million and the third only made $445,000. It’s currently available on Paramount+, so that was probably the last time we saw it on those charts.
