Kylie Jenner says ‘postpartum was tough’ after giving birth to son Wolf

Kylie Jenner talks about the ‘pressure’ to return to her pre-baby body and mind after the birth of son Wolf.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder, who gave birth to her second child with Travis Scott in February, was candid on her Instagram stories on Tuesday about returning to the gym six weeks after giving birth, despite not feeling completely like herself.

“I just want to tell all my postpartum moms that postpartum has been tough. It was not easy, it is very difficult,” she explained. “This experience for me personally was a little more difficult than with my daughter. It’s not easy mentally, physically, spiritually.”

She added that she knows what it’s like to “look on the Internet” and think that “to other people, everything looks so much easier.” However, she said that it was not easy for her.

“I didn’t even think I’d live to see this workout today, but I’m here and I’m feeling better, so you get the idea,” Jenner said.

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), postpartum exercise is a good idea, but intense exercise isn’t necessary. According to ACOG, 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per week is ideal. This can even be broken down into three 10-minute walks five days a week.

Jenner also reminded her 318 million Instagram followers that “not being okay is okay.”

“I just keep reminding myself that I created the whole person,” Jenner explained. “A beautiful healthy boy. And we have to stop putting pressure on ourselves to come back, even physically, just mentally, after birth. So yeah, just sending some love.”

People who have recently given birth often experience the feelings that Jenner describes. Hormonal changes, as well as the general stress of raising an infant, can lead to restlessness, restlessness, insomnia, and irritability, sometimes referred to as “baby blues,” that last for weeks, according to Stanford Child Health.

The story goes on

The Kardashian alum, who will be joining her sisters on their upcoming Hulu reality show in April, kept her first pregnancy hidden from the world to maintain her privacy. Her second pregnancy with Wolf was more public.

Despite the difficulty of returning to her place before the baby is born, Jenner told ELLE in September 2021 about becoming a mom: “Motherhood is really like something I’ve always had to do. Watching Stormi experience everything for the first time was the best part. from these past few years.”

In May 2021, she spoke to Tmrw magazine about parenthood, explaining that “becoming a mom” was “the biggest change”.

“I have grown so much as a person and continue to grow every single day,” she told the publication. “I love learning and I try to be the best person I can be. It was such a difficult year, but the positive side was that I had a lot more time to spend with my family.”
