The Super Duper Love singer is mom to daughter Violet, 18 months, with Cody and her second child is on the way.

Speaking on the Sweat, Snot & Tears podcast, she explained, “It’s a decision you have to make because I don’t want my kids to grow up, look at mom or dad or anybody that they look up to and see how they are cheered on by thousands of people.

“Because I’ve seen that in kids I grew up with and they’re kids of stars, so I don’t want them to think that makes you valid. It would certainly come across that way.’

On the practical side of touring, she said, “I don’t want to leave them. Traveling with babies when they are small is entirely doable. Cody works on his computer on the bus.

“He takes me to the stage with Violet. He goes back, bathes her and when I’m done on stage it’s time to put her to bed. So it’s perfect.

“But if she goes to school, it won’t matter. I’ve wanted to be a mom for so long. That’s what I want to do.

“My dream is to write for other singers. I can do that from home. So I could take Violet to school, come home, write some songs, and pick her up. I would like that.

“If I could organize my life like this, it would be perfect.”

Joss’ comments come after she apologized for postponing dates on her upcoming tour, arguing that she “must put her baby’s health first.”

The singer announced in April that she is expecting another child and revealed that she suffered a devastating miscarriage six months earlier.

While touring nine countries, the singer revealed that she has had to postpone recent dates as she will be heavily pregnant.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “I am fortunate to announce that Cody and I are expecting our second child together. I’m over the moon that Violet has a younger sibling.

“However, this means that I am devastated to announce that I have unfortunately had to change some of my touring plans.

“Thank you for all your support and I’m so sorry if I let anyone down. I have mixed feelings as I would love to perform for you all but I must put my health, the health of my baby and my family first… Please visit my website for the most up to date information.’

She added in the clip, I know it’s annoying as we’ve had to do this for other reasons the past two years. But we only have to repeat it on a few… but it’s all for a good reason, so hopefully it’ll be ok. Cheers.’

Joss rose to fame in late 2003 with her multi-platinum debut album The Soul Sessions.

She first met her partner Cody through a chance encounter at a Belize airport while Joss was on tour and he was working in private security.

They welcomed their first child, daughter Violet Melissa, in January 2021.
