The autopsy of the body is not yet known, but Spanish police suspect that Kasia died of a drug overdose. After days of not responding to contacts made by her teenage daughter, who lives in Paris, police arrived at the scene and found her lifeless.
Kasia, who has both American and Polish citizenship, has been engaged in an intense legal battle over custody of the daughters from her marriage to AlThani since 2012. A French court reportedly turned down her application because it said the woman was prone to nervous breakdowns and required a psychological assessment.
