Carol Nakamura opens up on adoptive sons decision to live

Carol Nakamura opens up on adoptive son’s decision to live with birth mother; understand

In a series of posts on her Instagram, actress Carol Nakamura opened up about her adoptive son’s decision to ask to live with his birth mother.

In the latest stories, she defended the child after recounting how she met the boy and how the decision was made. “Under no circumstances should you criticize Wallace, whether he lives with me or not, he is still my son, in my mind, in my heart. He’s a teenager who had no education, he didn’t have a period growing up, so it’s obvious he’s not used to it. So please never, under any circumstances, judge his attitude.”

She still says she defends child adoption and her experiences haven’t changed that. “Adoption is an act of love, affection, empathy, compassion, solidarity of God. Adoption is the most that can happen in life, regardless of the hard part, you know? The fact that Wallace left doesn’t mean I’m sorry, it just means I’m sad. That’s all, nothing else. I have never regretted it.”

The statement came after she spoke about the boy’s decision online on Tuesday (31). She also recounts how she met Wallace, who was 9 at the time, and decided to bring him home so he could go to school.

Here is a summary of what happened:

  • Carol Nakamura met Wallace three years ago at a social event
  • The actress asks her grandmother for permission to bring him to her home so the boy can go to school
  • Wallace says he has had temporary custody of Carol for the past three years.
  • The boy often visits his grandmother and biological mother, who have returned home
  • Wallace, almost 12 years old, decides to live with his birth mother

On Tuesday (31), actress Carol Nakamura shared in a series of stories that her adopted son decided to go back to his birth mother. “It’s his will, ‘Zezinho’ will be 12 years old, he stayed for three years, he lived there, he was always loved very much and he is aware of that, but he wanted to go to his mother’s house because, boys, look , first he has a biological mother, after that a child who grows up, is born and grows up without a rule is very difficult,” he says.

Through the stories, Carol says she met Wallace three years ago during a social outreach at the Gramacho dump in the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area. When he discovered that he, then 9 years old, had never gone to school, he asked the boy’s grandmother (his mother was not present at the time) for permission to take him home so he could study.

According to the actress, the guardian agreed, as long as he visited her regularly. Carol says the visits took place even after the boy’s biological mother reappeared.

In this coming and going, the actress says, Wallace understood that Carol’s provisional custody had expired and she had only been promised permanent custody, which was never fulfilled. According to her, every time he was verbally abused, the boy asked to go to his mother’s house, and when he was there, he did not go to school for fifteen days.

“Wallace was naughty, there’s no other word to say because he already understood that I don’t have custody of him. So when we fought him or punished him for something he did wrong or drew attention, he wanted to go to his mother’s house. He would arrive at his mother’s, if his mother did the same, he would want to come back here, and in doing so he would miss class. He was, there is no other word, shameless. And he had to make a decision.”

The actress says she was surprised by the decision as the boy showed love for his adoptive family and they always had an open space for dialogue. “I’m someone who doesn’t have a nanny, I’ve always looked after Wallace, I wash Wallace’s clothes, I teach him his homework, Guilherme [marido de Nakamura] brought to school. We’re really parents,” he says in the story.

“But my temporary custody ended, so I had to respect his will.”

She says that today she has news about the boy and he is healthy and happy, but that in order to speak to him she has to speak to a list of people in addition to the birth mother, such as the wife’s boyfriend and motherinlaw and the neighbors .

“I’ve been trying to look for an explanation as to why he wanted to live with his birth mother and he’s said it to my face multiple times. Because there he is flying a kite, he is walking barefoot, he has no time to sleep, he showers when he wants, so for a kid it is paradise.”

In the early hours of Wednesday 1st, after the fallout from the case, Carol pleaded with people not to judge the boy and said she was absolutely in favor of adoption.

“Today Wallace can read, he can write, Wallace is smart, Wallace has great potential. It’s frustrating not living with Wallace anymore, yes it’s frustrating, but it’s very satisfying for a kid who came to my house and couldn’t read, couldn’t write, couldn’t speak properly, now he knows how to reads, he can write, he is at school,” it says.

“I mean, of course it was worth it. If I had to be born again, I would do everything the same way, I would change absolutely nothing.”

She still defends the boy’s decision to live with his mother. “I’ve spoken to him, to his mother, and she’s super grateful, thank goodness. She sees all things so please don’t judge, that’s boring, that’s silly. Take care of.”
