Norman Reedus suffered a head injury on the set of The Walking Dead

Page Six may confirm Norman Reedus is on the road to recovery from a head injury on the set of The Walking Dead.

“Norman suffered a concussion on set,” the actor’s publicist Geoffrey Chassain told Page Six on Wednesday.

“He is recovering and will be back to work soon. Thank you all for your concern.”

A source confirmed to Page Six that the accident happened on March 11 in Georgia, where the AMC series is currently filming.

“We can confirm that this will delay the end of the series by a few days,” an AMC spokesperson for Page Six said, without revealing further details.

How exactly 53-year-old Reedus was injured is unknown. However, a source has exclusively confirmed to us that the actor was admitted to the hospital on Friday.

“He’s resting and recovering,” the insider added, noting that Reedus is still in Georgia, presumably as he’s due back on set in a few days.

On the day of the incident, Reedus took to social media to promote his debut novel.

“Wrote a book 👻,” Reedus captioned a photo slideshow of him pointing to a billboard with the cover of his book Ravaged, due out on April 5th.

After this post, he was not active on social networks.

The Walking Dead is in its 11th and final season. Reedus plays the role of Daryl Dixon, a survivor of the show’s zombie outbreak starting in Season 1.

Reedus and co-star Melissa McBride are expected to star in the show’s spin-off in 2023, according to Deadline. The actors will reprise their roles from The Walking Dead in a new series.
