Marvel has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming Doomsday event.

Marvel has released a teaser trailer and cover art for the upcoming AX: Judgment Day, a massive crossover event set to kick off in June that pits the Avengers, Eternals, and X-Men against each other. The story synopsis for the event reads: “The Avengers have become a more powerful global force than ever from their base inside the long-dead Celestial. The X-Men have achieved a form of immortality on their utopian island nation of Krakoa. The Eternals have begun a new life cycle as they continue their mission to destroy the Deviants, but when the Eternals learn that mutants are a form of excess deviance in their own right, a vicious attack on Krakoa ensues and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are trapped in the middle. Years of tension lead to a volcanic eruption as two worlds burn.”

Doomsday kicks off in June with AXE: Eve of Judgment #1, an introductory issue by writer Kieron Gillen and artist Pascual Ferry that features the buildup for an apocalyptic conflict. After Eve of Judgment, the main Doomsday saga will be told in a six-issue series that will be released in July. Other series set in the Marvel Universe will also be linked to this event.

“An extraordinary odyssey that will leave a deep emotional impact on Marvel mythology, AX: Judgment Day will tie together the drastic events of the past few years, including the X-Men’s discovery of immortality, the Eternals’ newfound knowledge of their destiny, and the “Avengers are assembling a powerful cast at their base in the body of a fallen Celestial.” ,” Marvel said of the event.

“There’s a classic metaphor for describing the Marvel Universe – a toy box where creators get toys out of them, play with them, and put them back,” Gillen added. “I understand, but it’s never quite the way I saw it – I think I ‘play’ differently. I think of a music store, with all these instruments with different qualities, offering different songs, different stories. The Marvel instruments I played, I never wrote events. Writing events is something else. It’s not the same as playing an instrument. This is to have all the instruments in the Marvel Music Store. symphony. I looked at everything in The Eternals and Immortal X-Men and everything else that all the writers of X and The Avengers did, and I thought… yes, this is an event. In fact, the event is the only way to do justice to it.”

AX: Eve of Justice #1 was created by writer Kieron Gillen, artist Pascual Ferri and cover artist Carlos Pacheco. The issue comes out June 29 by Marvel Comics. AX: Judgment Day #1 was created by writer Kieron Gillen, artist Valerio Schiti, and cover artist Mark Brooks. The issue comes out in July.
