Due to an apparent technical glitch, Riddler’s level information has dropped and we can expect to see Batman at home in late April. Deadline told (and pinned on screen) the dates before they were removed from the HBO website, and the trade company says news that DC’s hit will hit Tuesday, April 19 on HBO Max and Saturday. April 23, on HBO service providers: “legitimate.”

The Batman is following a 2022 deal that would see Warner Bros. releases available on home video 45 days after they hit theaters, a departure from last year’s release schedule by day and date. Amid the hype surrounding the film, this seemingly accidental revelation has only added to the hype surrounding the franchise’s future since its release. It’s truly amazing that this isn’t the Riddler’s work on the (still active) viral website rataalada.com that flashed over the film’s end credits. There, fans were able to play along with his mysteries to unlock Easter eggs from the film, such as close-ups of cryptic images and Thomas Wayne’s campaign video. It would be great if all of this was part of it. Imagine if the studio had scrapped the Arkham cutscene that director Matt Reeves mentioned didn’t make it into the final cut. (Actually, we just want to see a little more of Barry Keoghan in regards to the mysterious “prisoner”.) However, the release date crash seems completely unrelated, just a technical error that happened.

Last week, HBO Max announced the order for a spin-off of Penguin, starring Colin Farrell. The show is to follow Oswald Cobblepot during his rise after the events of Batman’s last act.

The Batman is in theaters now, and Deadline notes that it’s on track to surpass the half-billion mark at the global box office by the weekend.
