Trevor Noah responds to Kanye West’s racist slur that led to an Instagram ban

Trevor Noah responded to Kanye West’s racial slur on Instagram.

West had his Instagram account suspended for 24 hours after he used the insult while responding to a comedian’s comments about him on The Daily Show.

In his post attacking Noah, West, now officially known as Ye, repeatedly called him a “killer” after the comic said the situation between the rapper, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson was “scary to watch.”

According to TMZ, Instagram’s parent company Meta said that West’s posts are a violation of the app’s social media policy on hate speech, harassment and bullying.

The slur used by West is described in the Urban Dictionary as “an anti-black black person”.

In response to the post, Noah shared a lengthy comment below the post, which has since been deleted due to West’s account being suspended.

Addressing the racist slur, Noah said, “Oh, and as for K**n… obviously some people graduate, but we’re still stupid.”

He added, “Never forget that the biggest trick that racists have ever played with black people has been to teach us to strip each other of our blackness whenever we disagree. Deceiving us so that we would be divided into fragments, so that we would never unite into a mighty rod.

The comedian was praised for a comment in which he acknowledged West’s “influence” but added, “It breaks my heart to see you like this.”

“Few artists have had a bigger impact on me than you Yeh,” Noah wrote. “You took samples and turned them into symphonies. You have taken your pain and wired it into performance perfection. I thought differently about how I spend my money because of you.”

Noah stated, “You are an indelible part of my life E. That is why my heart breaks when I see you like this. I don’t care if you support Trump, and I don’t care if you fry Pete. However, I care when I see you on a path dangerously close to danger and pain.
