Wendy Williams curiously stated on Good Morning America that she was set to return to her daytime talk show of the same name, despite Sherri Shepherd having already been named as her successor.

Given the wild claim, Page Six reached out to the show’s spokesperson for comment, who cited a Debmar-Mercury February press release announcing Shepherd’s new talk show “Sherri.”
A source close to the production company also told us that Debmar-Mercury is “100% committed” to this fall’s Shepherd show, securing slots with Fox and developing plans to expand to other groups of stations.
Our insider added that if and when the company feels that Williams is ready to return to a daily live show, Debmar-Mercury will support her, but this will certainly not happen in three months, since all the places in the company are filled.

Debmar-Mercury representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
