Lael Collins visiting the Bengals after getting cut by the Cowboys: NFL Free Agents 2022

The Cincinnati Bengals wasted no time presenting Lael Collins to the city.

According to the NFL Network, Collins is set to visit the Bengals and there’s a chance a deal could be made. This came after the Dallas Cowboys cut Collins after failing to find a trading partner.

The Bengals’ interest in Collins has been reported nonstop, although other NFL teams do show interest in him. Collins was previously linked to Bengals offensive line coach Frank Pollack while they were in Dallas together.

Do it… please, for Joe Barrow.

Dallas Cowboys right tackle Lael Collins is looking for a new home.

According to Todd Archer, Dallas is firing Collins, who is interested in the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rumors circulated that Collins was who Dallas was shopping for and could potentially quit if a deal didn’t come through. The 28-year-old tackle had to count $15.25 million towards the Cowboys’ salary cap this season after signing a five-year, $50 million contract in September 2019.

Since joining the league in 2015, Collins has developed into one of the top scorers in football. He finished the 2021 season with an 82.0 PFF, which came after he missed all of 2020 with a hip injury and then was suspended for five games of the 2021 season for trying to bribe the league’s drug test collector, according to ESPN .

Prior to these setbacks, Collins only missed one game in 2017-19. In 2016, he missed all but three games due to a foot injury.

Look for Bengals to chase, but Collins is likely to be a hot commodity.
