Ukrainian actress Oksana Shvets killed by Russian strikes in Kyiv

Ukrainian actress Oskan Shvets died last week in Kyiv as a result of the shelling of the city by Russian troops.

“During a rocket attack on a residential building in Kyiv, the Honored Artist of Ukraine Oksana Shvets was killed,” the Young Theater reported, according to Deadline.

Shvets was reportedly 67 years old when she was murdered, saying along with the theater that they were in “irreparable grief” over her death.

She was a wonderful actress who received Ukraine’s highest award for artists.

During her career, she has worked at the Young Theatre, the Ternopil Music and Drama Theater and the Kiev Satire Theater, Deadline reports.

She is one of thousands who have died in more than three weeks since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

More than three million people fled as Russia shelled residential areas, hospitals and schools, though Russia denies this.
