Lunden’s attorney, Alexis Roberts – the mother of one of Hunter Biden’s five children – said she turned over a “substantial amount” of Hunter’s financial records to federal investigators and said she would be “surprised” if he was not charged.
Clint Lancaster, representing Roberts, said he followed the subpoena by handing over “a significant portion of Hunter’s financial records” and that both he and Roberts were questioned by investigators.
Lancaster told CNBC that he and Roberts spoke with an assistant U.S. attorney, an FBI agent and an IRS agent – “the one with the badge and the gun” over a year ago in Little Rock, Arkansas.
“I expect him to be charged,” the lawyer said of Biden. “Based only on what I saw in his financial records, I would be surprised if he had not been charged.”
However, Lancaster said that he and Roberts “don’t want Hunter to go to jail”.
If Biden had been charged, it is likely that he would have been convicted — federal prosecutors tout a conviction rate of over 95 percent.

Roberts, 30, and Biden, 52, conceived daughter Navi Joan together in 2018, and for years Biden refused to acknowledge the existence of his youngest daughter.
“It’s sad because the child looks like him, with blond hair,” the lawyer said.

Roberts, 30, has been subpoenaed to testify in a secret three-year Justice Department investigation into Hunter’s dark financial dealings.
Asked if Biden had ever seen the daughter or expressed an interest in it, Lancaster replied, “No, I haven’t.”
It was initially reported that Biden met Roberts while she was studying crime scene investigation in graduate school and working as a stripper at a D.C. club he frequented.
Texts discovered last year by revealed that she was actually on the payroll at Rosemont Seneca and kept in touch with him throughout her pregnancy. Roberts worked in a junior position at an investment firm owned by Biden.
The New York Times, while acknowledging the legitimacy of Biden’s infamous laptop, also reported that federal investigators asked Roberts about the entity through which he paid her and whether that entity received payments from Burisma, where he served on the board of directors.
In December 2018, three months after Navi Joan was born, Biden sent an email to his assistant Kathy Hodge to ask, “Who is getting paid now and for the last 9 months?” according to emails found by in an abandoned laptop.
Hodge replied, “The last nine months have been you, me, Lunden, Halley, Liz and Erin. But right now it’s just you, me and Erin.”
Texts found on the laptop include a message from Roberts dated July 24, 2018, announcing that their baby’s due date is September 8.
When he didn’t respond, she texted again on August 8 to say, “Contacted several times, it’s clear you don’t want to be contacted.” Need to talk to you. If you feel the need to reach out, my line is always open. Hope all is well.’
Again, Biden did not respond, just as he never tried to meet Navi Joan after she was born, according to the documents in the paternity suit.
Joan’s Navy existence remained a secret until Roberts filed for paternity and child support in May 2019, just days after Biden married his second wife, Melissa Cohen, after a tumultuous six-day romance.
Initially denying that Navy Joan was his, Biden was forced to undergo a DNA test in November of that year that proved once and for all that he was the father.
In his memoir, Beautiful Things, Hunter claimed that after his 2017 divorce from Kathleen Boulet, he “raged around” so much that he couldn’t remember his conquests.
The battle was far from over, however, as Roberts struggled for months to get the youngest son of the 46th president to reveal details of his financial dealings.
Even after DNA proved he was the father, Hunter maintained that he did not have enough money to pay child support. When an Arkansas judge ordered him to provide financial statements, he settled out of court.
In his memoir Beautiful Things, Hunter claimed that after his 2017 divorce from Kathleen Boulet, he had so many “rambles” that he couldn’t remember his conquests.
“That’s why I later challenged an Arkansas woman who had a baby in 2018 and claimed the baby was mine – I didn’t remember our meeting,” the recovering addict wrote.
“That’s how little connection I had with anyone.”
Investigators have alleged in court documents that Biden’s assets are valued at a staggering $156 million, largely due to his heavily scrutinized $50,000-a-month role at Ukrainian energy company Burisma and his business interests in China.
Lunden and Hunter conceived Navi Joan – the fourth of his five children – around December 2017, while he was still in a relationship with his brother Bo’s widow, Hallie Biden. Lunden seen with Navy Joans in 2021.
Text messages from Hunter’s abandoned laptop show that Lunden informed him of the baby’s due date and pleaded for help with childcare several times in 2018, but her messages were ignored.
Roberts was captured exclusively by with daughter Navi Joan, who, according to the lawyer, “looks like” Hunter Biden’s father.
In his memoirs, Hunter referred to Lunden as “an Arkansas woman” and stated that he “didn’t remember our meeting”.
However, Biden cited poverty, insisting he was cleared by a 2017 divorce from Buchle, with whom he has three children.
He repeatedly refused to provide his tax returns, his Los Angeles home address, or even his phone number, citing the threat of media interference.
“In an effort to demonstrate my integrity to this court, I testify that I am unemployed and have had no monthly income since May 2019,” Biden said in documents filed with the Independence District Court.
“I currently have significant debts (partly as a result of liabilities arising from my divorce, which was final in April 2017) which are calculated by accountants.”
Biden is now under federal investigation by the US Attorney’s Office in Delaware for tax fraud, and the Times reported Thursday that he told his partner he had to take out a loan to pay his more than $1 million tax bill. That investigation has expanded to include an investigation into whether Biden violated money laundering and foreign lobbying laws.

Navy Joan is yet to meet her grandfather Joe, 79, despite the fact that the president regularly boasts of his love for his other six grandchildren, whom he brought to the stage after winning the election.

Court documents show that Biden eventually agreed to pay child support and his share of Joan’s Navy medical expenses, although the exact terms are classified.
He was accused several times of contempt of proceedings by failing to appear at hearings, but in March 2020 it was announced that both parties had “reached a global final settlement of all issues” without the need for a trial.
Navy Joan receives neither the privileges nor the round-the-clock Secret Service protection enjoyed by the rest of the Biden brood.
However, friends say the blonde babe is “cute, loved, safe and very happy” as she grows up in rural Arkansas, blissfully unaware of her proximity to the caustic world of US politics.
