The cutest Boston Terrier, seriously injured after being cowardly stabbed several times by his former owner, finally found love in the arms of the police officer who rescued him and decided to adopt him.
On May 17, officers from the Service de Police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) intervened very early in the morning in the La Cité-Limoilou neighborhood after receiving a call from a lady “who said she had killed something,” explains the spokeswoman for the SPVQ Marie-Pier Rivard.
At the scene, officers found Zoe, a 9-year-old Boston Terrier dog, “in agony” at the woman’s home.
The dog showed numerous wound marks on her small body. “She was really pathetic. The agents thought she wouldn’t survive,” says Ms. Rivard.

Little Zoé was transported to the Daubigny Veterinary Center, treated and transferred to the Quebec SPA a few hours later.
“We found that she was in shock and hypothermic,” says SPA de Québec director general Félix Tremblay, adding that they had to bring the animal back to the veterinary center because they feared it was her suffers from internal bleeding.
“I think it’s a first for us. We’ve never had to treat a stabbed dog,” Mr Tremblay recalls.
A new family

Nearly three weeks after the attack, Zoé returned to the Quebec SPA on Tuesday for a health check. When the receptionist announced her arrival at the vet, the staff present rushed over to see the animal.
Zoe got better quickly. Moreover, before her wounds had healed, she already had a new loving family.
“One of the agents who was taking care of the animal wanted to take her under his wing,” said Marie-Pier Rivard.
However, the agent in question turned down the Journal’s interview request, preferring to remain in the shadows.
“As far as I know, the agent was touched by Zoe’s story. […] I can understand that someone involved in this episode arriving at the scene where an animal has been stabbed and is bleeding, I think anyone with the heart in the right place would have had a similar reaction.” says Mr Tremblay.
“It’s no exaggeration to say that the cop who took care of him saved his life,” he adds, pleased that this story had a happy ending.
You took care of it
“Tender” and not refusing hugs, little Zoé won the hearts of the staff at the SPA de Québec, who spared no effort to help her get back on her feet.
