ATLANTA. A group of feminists protesting ahead of the NCAA Women’s Swimming Championships told Fox News they have “gone” with the Democratic Party and believe many others have, too.

“Historically I have been a liberal. I’d say I’m politically homeless right now because I don’t think the Democrats care about women and girls,” one Save Women’s Sports activist told Fox News.

“Feminism has become as confusing as the term ‘democrat’ itself. It has practically lost all meaning,” Amy E. Souza, one of the leaders of the group and a self-described “radical feminist,” told Fox News.

“I am a lifelong registered Democrat who ends up feeling politically homeless,” Souza added. “With all of Biden’s elections, I started to feel more and more disenfranchised from the Democrats as a party, and I started to feel more and more like they didn’t represent my beliefs or my views.”

She went on to say that Biden’s executive order to prevent discrimination based on gender identity was “a slap in the face” and “from that moment on, I really didn’t know how to classify myself in a political category.”

Another member of Save Women’s Sports said: “I always voted liberal from 18 to 39. I registered as a Republican in 2020 after two politicians told me they didn’t want my vote because of my stance on women’s and girls’ rights.”

“They wanted to put men in prisons and men on sports teams and my daughter’s school, so I decided I couldn’t be part of this party anymore – which doesn’t even recognize my gender,” the woman continued.

Another woman said she thought many others would leave the Democratic Party because of her stance on women’s issues.

“I know a lot of historically liberal people, especially parents, who felt they needed to get away from the Democratic Party,” she said. “I don’t know who they will vote for in the next election. I think we’re really going to have a lot of people leaving.”
