March Madness 2022 – Best Actions, Moments, Disruptions & More From Saturday’s NCAA Tournament

The March frenzy calmed down a bit on Friday with the higher seeds mostly doing business. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Miami Hurricanes, and Iowa State Cyclones were the only double-figure seeded teams to advance to the 2022 NCAA Tournament on the second day of the tournament. Meanwhile, the Auburn Tigers, Villanova Wildcats, and Purdue Boilermakers all had big resounding victories.

Heading into the Round of 16 on Saturday, our two biggest Cinderellas will be looking to make their tournament dreams come true. The St. Peters, who beat second-seeded Kentucky in the first round, face Murray State. Two 12-5 upset winners, Richmond and New Mexico State, face Providence and Arkansas, respectively.

Davis on fire from the gate

Tar Heels guard R. J. Davis missed his first shot in the #8 UNC game against #1 Baylor, but then quickly hit two 3-pointers and a long-range 2 in a row. Peacocks have a fan club
