Stafford completed a dream-worthy first season in Los Angeles, during which he completed 404 of 601 passes (67.2%) for 4,886 yards (8.1 per attempt), 41 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He and Cooper Kupp quickly became one of the top wide receiver quarterback duos in the NFL, and he was also able to integrate Odell Beckham Jr. on the fly after a season-ending injury to Robert Woods.

Of course, this was all a prelude to the Rams’ playoff success, culminating in a Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals. That journey justified the Rams’ decision to trade Stafford last offseason, and also made them the second team in a row (and the second team in history) to win the Super Bowl at their home stadium. Stafford will now call the stadium home for the next five years.
