Pest control company offers thousands of dollars to infest homes with 100 roaches

A company in the United States is willing to pay $2,000 to homeowners willing to welcome 100 roaches into their home in hopes of trying a new repellent.

The pest informanta company based in North Carolinawill select five to seven homes that will become the basis for a test in which buildings are infested with roaches to test “a specific pest control technique,” reports the New York Post.

The study hopes to find out how effective the new treatment, which is still in development, can be, requiring interested parties to sign a document absolving the company of any responsibility if anything goes wrong.

However, if insects were still present after the test was completed, the company has offered to replace the infestation with “traditional options the treatment from cockroaches for free.

Some of the requirements for participating in this project are having your own home or having written permission for the test to be conducted, and being located within the territory of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Additional requirements include being at least 21 years old and not attempting to use or test additional cockroach treatments during the study.

According to Pest Informer, investigation shouldn’t take more than 30 days and the treatments used are safe for both families and pets.
