Halsey reveals her son Ender isn’t a fan of her singing on the NBC talk show, before joking that Millie Bobby Brown would be “great” to play her in a biopic
Halsey revealed that her young son Ender doesn’t like her singing voice while appearing on NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday.
The 27-year-old singer, who wore a red floral dress, was complimented by Jimmy, 47, on having 11-month-old Ender with her screenwriter boyfriend Alev Aydin.
“Does he love it when mom sings to him? Do you sing him lullabies? Jimmy asked.

‘Oh. no No, he hates it. No, he’s my biggest critic,” Halsey said.
Halsey said that when her mother “who can’t carry a tune in a bucket” sings, Ender’s eyes light up “like she’s the stars and the moon,” Halsey said.
“But when I sing, he’s not a fan,” Halsey said. ‘Not a fan.’
Halsey said that when she sings to him, Ender gives her a face that looks like he’s about to cry, with trembling lips.

She explained that they met in 2017 when he was commissioned to write a film about her.
“So he was hired to write a film about me, kind of like 8 Mile Less Spaghetti. But I still wanted to wear the cool hoodie,” Halsey said.
Halsey said he followed her on tour and interviewed her, and one day after a few years, she decided to turn the tables and interview him.

“We found that we had so much in common and after being friends for a long time, we fell in love,” Halsey said.
The biopic got complicated because Alev now has a “conflict of interest” as the main character, Halsey said, but he directed the music video for “So Good.”

Jimmy suggested Millie Bobby Brown, 18, play her in a biopic and held up a photo of Halsey looking like Millie’s character Eleven on the Netflix show Stranger Things.
Halsey teased that Jimmy should play her instead, and he glanced sideways when his preset interview took an unexpected turn.
Jimmy crumpled up a piece of paper and threw it on the floor before Halsey joined in, saying Millie would be “so awesome” to play her.
