As expected by our newspaper this morning, the shooting of Stefano Mondini’s new film has started ‘2Win’ (which will move between Sanremo and Perinaldo on Saturday) and that the production company ‘Lebowski’ will focus on the automotive world and Lancia-Audi duelduring the 1983 World Rally Championship.

Today’s set’s setting focuses on the Monte Carlo Rally, while tomorrow the lettering will be replaced with the legendary “Rally di Sanremo”.
The production brought the splendor Start 037 and the Audi Quattro who have been fighting for many years on the roads of the world rallies, in Sanremo and around the world. With them other magnificent specimens of the legendary rally, such as the Renault R5, but also Porsche and Golf.
Filming with the protagonist started this afternoon, Riccardo Scamarciowho will play the role of in the film Caesar Fiorio, then team principal of the Italian carmaker, competed against the German company’s rival Roland Gumpert, played by Daniel Brühl. In addition, Volker Bruch will be seen in the role of Walter Röhrl, driver of the Lancia team. The latter will prove to be the ace up the sleeve of an unlikely team set up by Fiorio, who, however, will have to defy Röhrl’s intent to only race in the races he likes.
The street will host one of the most important action scenes in the entire film. We are talking about a duel between the cars and the exit of one of the vehicles from the road. Stefano Mordini is not only the director, but also one of the authors of the screenplay, which bears the signature of Filippo Bologna (Perfect Strangers, Gli infedeli) and Riccardo Scamarcio, who is producing the film with Jeremy Thomas. Next SaturdayAmong other things, the film is shot in the hinterland between San Romolo and Perinaldo.
Sanremo is once again proving to be a popular location for film productions, even if it seems, at least for the time being, that the city of flowers will unfortunately be called Montecarlo in the film. Unless the production thinks about using the location for a double rally. For now, however, the Principality’s wording and its flags stand out on stage.
