Guilty Gear Strive reveals final DLC character and announces Season 2 Pass

Arc System Works revealed the final character in the Guilty Gear Strive Season 1 Pass.

As announced during the Guilty Gear Strive ARCREVO America Finals, Arc System Works announced that the boss character Testament is returning to the series. Testament is a ranged fighter who uses his scythe to hit opponents from afar.

Additionally, Arc System Works announced that it is working on Season 2 for Guilty Gear Strive, which will add four additional characters to the roster. Also add cross-platform play between PS4, PS5 and Steam PC.

Arc System Works, known for creating visually stunning fighting games, is going all out with announcements. In addition to Testament and the new Season Pass, ASW announced three new features for Guilty Gear Strive.

This includes the new battle phase, White House Reborn, which will be part of the Season Pass or can be purchased separately for $1.99.

There’s also a digital figure mode that sounds similar to a photo mode. Players can create unique scenes by placing characters, furniture, effects and more, as well as customize a character’s expression, camera angles and filters, and share these scenes online. The new mode will be available on March 28th.

Finally, there will be “Another Story,” new story missions that provide alternate perspectives on the game’s lore from characters who did not appear in the main story. This will be available in the Season 1 Pass at the end of April.

Guilty Gear Strive will be highlighting another fighting game series later this year when Arc World Tour 2022 returns. Strive will be highlighting the event along with upcoming dungeon fighter online fighting game DNF Duel. The event, sponsored by Nexon, features a prize pool of $100,000 per game.
