The residents of a small community in the city of Santopadre, Italy, received an illustrious and very different visit at Sunday mass. The case happened about 3 years ago.
In the scene, the dog appears near the pulpit, that is, in the area where the priest is during mass. The onsite picture of the dog was taken by a believer named Rocco di Nota, who offered special thanks to the priest for allowing the animal to be present at the church.
He goes to mass every Sunday. When I look at this photo, I ask myself many questions. I take this opportunity to express the great appreciation and admiration I have for the community that allows this dog to participate in worship,” the author of the photo wrote on Facebook.
The presence of the dog never bothered a worshiper. On the contrary, seeing the love and affection everyone had for the dog showed and awakened in everyone the true meaning of the word that was being spread there.
Rocco Di Nota’s publication received more than 8,000 shares, 3,800 reactions and 26 comments.
“Amazing,” said one follower.
