FBI investigates brazen arson attacks on pro-life clinics as domestic terrorism

The FBI said it was treating recent attacks on pro-life clinics as potential acts of domestic terrorism after a pro-abortion group declared open season at health centers.

The group, known as Jane’s Revenge, claimed responsibility for a string of vandalism and arson attacks at Christian faith centers for pregnancy crises as the Supreme Court looks set to rule on Roe v. Wade will fall.

In a statement, the FBI said: “The FBI is investigating a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and religious organizations across the country.

“The FBI takes all threats seriously and we continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners and remain vigilant to protect our communities.”

In a June 14 letter published on the Jane’s Revenge website on Wednesday, the group claimed responsibility for the latest attacks, citing an alleged 30-day deadline for all pro-life groups to cease their activities to discontinue, and she warned that ‘Your thirty days expired yesterday.’

The group boasted about several of the attacks, including two of the most recent, which occurred on June 7, when a Christian pregnancy center in Buffalo, New York, was firebombed and a mountain pregnancy service center in Asheville, NC, was vandalized.

The letter described how “easy and fun it is to attack the centers” as the group vowed to take “increasingly drastic action against repressive infrastructures” after the deadline.

“These measures must not take the form of something as easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti,” the letter threatened.

The letter, which alleges that Jane’s Revenge is “not one group but many” and has “distributed communiqués to locations across the country, but primarily in the Pacific Northwest.

They have claimed responsibility for various attacks in Madison, Wisconsin; feet Collins, Colo.; Des Moines, Iowa; Hollywood, Florida; Denton, Texas; and Washington, DC

They also claimed to have attacked Portland, Eugene, and Gresham in Oregon along with Olympia, Lynwood, and Vancouver in Washington state, and Reisterstown and Frederick in Maryland.

The Susan B. Anthony pro-life group said the attacks were among at least 40 attacks committed against abortion clinics across the country since May.

The vandalism and arson come as the US Supreme Court is expected to give its decision in a Mississippi abortion case later this month.

The decision could be the landmark decision of Roe v. Wade of 1973, which recognized women’s constitutional right to abortion.

Last week, a group of 16 US senators called on the Justice Department to step up investigations into the attacks.

“We are deeply concerned that this trend will continue if the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade should be lifted in the coming weeks unless the Justice Department, FBI and US Attorney’s Office take a firm public stance and proactively respond to these violent threats. ‘ read the letter.

On May 8, a Molotov cocktail was thrown through a window at the headquarters of nonprofit political advocacy group Wisconsin Family Action in Madison, Wisconsin.

The outside of the building was scrawled with anarchist insignia, the numbers “1312” (meaning “all cops are bastards”) and “if abortions ain’t safe, then neither are you”.

No one was injured in the attack, but police called it an act of vandalism and arson.

An investigative reporter from Dutch online news site Bellingcat released the first announcement from “Jane’s Revenge” after the attack.

The statement read: “This is not a declaration of war. War has been with us for decades. A war that we didn’t want and that we didn’t provoke. For too long we have been attacked for asking for basic medical care. For too long we have been shot at, bombed and forced into childbirth without consent.’

The statement also called for “the dissolution of all anti-choice institutions” within 30 days, saying their initial attack was “just a warning” but there will be more attacks until “the inalienable right to manage our own health.” ‘will be returned to us.’ The group claims to have a presence in the United States that could launch further attacks.’

Since then, similar attacks have been carried out in cities across the country.

The group derives its name from an illegal abortion network called the Jane Collective, which operated in Chicago in the late 1960s and early ’70s.

They saw that we are real and that we are not just spreading empty words. As I said: We are not one group, but many. They found us in Madison WI, Ft. seen. Collins CO, Reisertown MA, Olympia WA, Des Moines IA, Lynwood WA, Washington DC, Ashville NC, Buffalo NY, Hollywood FL, Vancouver WA, Frederick MA, Denton TX, Gresham OR, Eugene OR, Portland OR, among others and We work invisibly in countless places. You’ve read the communiqués from the various cells, you’ve seen the spreading messages in graffiti and elsewhere, and you know we mean business.

We were not surprised to see that 30 days went by and 30 days went by without you showing any sign of determination or even a modicum of self-reflection from you posing as healthcare providers to harm the vulnerable. History may not repeat itself, but it certainly rhymes, and we’ve already seen stanzas like this in which medical autonomy is abolished, humanity is increasingly criminalized, and mere survival becomes largely unsustainable.

Your thirty days expired yesterday. We offered an honorable way out. you could have walked away Now the leash is off. And we will make it as difficult as possible for your campaign of suppression to continue. Over the past month, we’ve shown how easy and fun it is to attack. We are versatile, we are unpredictable and we are responsible to no one but ourselves. We have promised to take increasingly drastic action against oppressive infrastructures. Rest assured that we will, and these actions may not take the form of something as easy to clean up as fire and graffiti. Sometimes you’ll see what we’re doing and you’ll know it’s us. Sometimes you’ll think you’re just unlucky because you can’t see how we’re interfering in your affairs. But your senseless attempts to control others and make life more difficult are not answered passively. Eventually your insurance companies and lenders will realize that you are a bad investment.

From here on, any anti-choice group that closes its doors and goes out of business will no longer be a target. But until you do, it’s seasonal and we know where your operations are. The enslavers’ infrastructure will not survive. We will never stop, step back, slow down or retreat. We didn’t want that; but it is up to us, and so we must deal with it proportionately. We exist in confluence and in solidarity with all others in the struggle for full liberation. Our refuge now is to defend ourselves and build resilient, caring communities of mutual aid so we can heal ourselves without the need for the medical industry or other intermediaries. Through attack we find joy, courage and remove the facade of impenetrability of these violent institutions.

And for our allies who doubt the authenticity of the communiqués and actions: there is a way to get irrefutable proof that these actions are real. go and make one yourself You are already one of us. Everyone who wants to paint, burn, cut, jam: now is the time. Go out and manifest the things you want to see. Stay healthy and practice your cursive.
