The 40-year-old actress sparked romance speculation with the 44-year-old Saturday Night Live alum when they attended the Golden Globes together in 2020, and has now revealed the pair were actually dating at the time.
‘[Bill and I] dated two years ago! I took him to the friggin’ Golden Globes with him!” Rachel said during Monday’s episode of her Broad Ideas podcast.

Rachel – who is known to audiences for her role as Summer Roberts on teen drama series The OC – was chatting with Aubrey Plaza when she made the reveal, and the podcast host appeared shocked by the revelation.
Aubrey said, “Are you serious?! I don’t know shit! I do not know anything!’
While Rachel didn’t share anything more specifically about Bill, she admitted on last week’s episode of her podcast that she went through a “really tough breakup” during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.

Around the same time, an insider claimed that Rachel – who is mother to seven-year-old daughter Briar with her ex Hayden Christensen – went through an “amicable” split from Bill.
However, Rachel admitted on the podcast that she’d managed to get over the breakup and is now “looking for the next thing.”
She said, “If you actually deal with it, you can come out of it and be like, ‘OK, I did that and I’m ready for the next thing.’
